ur equation is x=15+2ln((1+x)/2)

(x-15)/2=ln((1+x)/2)

let (1+x)/2=t

(x+1-16)/2=ln((1+x)/2)

t-8=ln(t)

let t-8=y

y=ln(y+8)

e(y) = y+8

now e(y) and y+8 never intersect

so their is no solution to this equation

This is a transcendental equation and has to be solved numerically. I plotted in Matlab, zoomed in and found x is about 16.923
