The Twenty20 version of the game is attracting many spectators. Big hitting attracts many people. It is also saving time. So, as Malcolm Speed said, if cricket is going to the Olympics, it will surely be the Twenty20 version.

BCCI will use this new form of cricket to have two seperate teams, thereby stemming flight of more cricketers to ICL.

More changes will take place. In case of a tie, result will be determined by a 100 meter sprint by both the captains. Oh what a thrill it will be!

Size of cricket ball will increase, shape will b somewht similar to rugby.

When ICC will find out that ppl r not sitting thr the 20-20 format even, they wd first make it a 10-10 format,Then finally it will b a Toss-Toss affair only. Yes, winning the game will b decided by toss only.

i'd prefer to keep twenty20 matches as a fun a 'taking the piss' kinda game.

It ususally feels like they teams are really just joking and mucking around but giving us good entertainment at the same time, and light hearted. especially when they are mic-ed up. haha

Imo i think it'll be too serious since its turned into a world cup. it should be a recreational game that helps to gain new spectators, not a world cup.

Nevertheless i'll still be watching it after 10 months without any cricket (in australia). :)

i dont think it'll affect it THAT much. maybe get more supporters.

I think Twenty Twenty definitely has a future and a "bright future". I say so because 20-20 is not really composed for players or teams or selectors. It has been designed for spectators. The idea is to take the shorter version of the game to countries like Bermuda, Canada, Norway etc. and get them excited about Cricket. Secondly, as an ODI takes a day and is time consuming. The shorter version would be more popular amongst people. As I see, the shorter version may also get through Olympics because of its shorter duration and greater excitement.

No, I don't think it will, as long as Test Cricket and ODIs are there. Twenty20 may be a disastrous change in the sport of cricket, but we just have to take it as another style of cricket.

We have a huge cricket fan base. But stil attracting more into the game is due to the duration of the game. As we all know time is the biggest problem in this world. I think shortening the time will attract lot more people towrds it. Once they start liking the game, they will remain cricket fans. Love the game and the decent people we are with. other than the time Murali play against Aussie. Hopefully Aussie will bring more positiveness towrds the game rather than forcussing on oneplayer. Thanks all!!!!

It might affect the viewer ship of other version of the game as mostly people in the the West will be more interested in the shortest version of the game. In India it won't have much affect as people try to follow any form of the game and usually you have full house for Test/ODI games.

it will only affect the person who are free coz it takes little time to get finished. for the bowlers it will be a test and also agreat opportunity to make himself finished and outstanding bowler and that is same with the fielders also. but quite sad for the dear batsman as no batting technique can be applied ,it will be just like base ball player. future is good for ODI cricket.it will be no mre a gentleman game.

It will be nice for its popularity outside 10-15 odd countries since no other sport is played for whole day and none has time to watch or play it for a whole day or madly for 5 days!

Bowlers and fielders will be benefitted as batsmen will be under tremendous pressure to score in a short time!

It is the "base ballization" of a beautiful game of patience & shots called once upon a time "cricket". Bowlers will be butchered, fielders will become "ball Boy"s.
