This usually happens when an application or your Operating System itself encounters a terminal error. It's usually software issues. My guess is at this stage, the core components of your OS encounter an error and the message is the last thing your PC can display.

(if your operating system is not working, you can't use your PC)
So just turn off the power supply socket switch and turn everything on again.

ps: every once in awhile you may sometimes encounter such error, though under normal circumstances, it should be very rare as it's your software encountering error. If it happens frequently, like everyday for example, there's a possibility you might have some hardware problems that's causing error to your software.

Sorry, youe English is terrible, so It's hard to read.

You're saying your computer suddenly crashed and that the error message had something to do with physical memory?

Then in order to restart your computer you had to unplug the machine and remove the (CMOS) battery (the only battery in a computer)?

You would have to post the error message, but it sounds as if you might hot have enough memory in your machine to actually run what the system wants to run. If you have sufficient memory (1Gb for XP, or 2Gb for Vista), you have likely picked-up some bloat...virus/adware/spyware/etc.

As for removing the CMOS battery, all that does in reset your clock to default from what I understand, and if you leave it out, your clock will not function at all. It will also cause additional problems.
