A lot of those don't qualify! Many artists only have one hit. A one-hit wonder should be a group that had one shot then disappeared. Thomas Dolby isn't a one-hit wonder, and neither are most of those on the list! Someone has the phrase very wrong! Many of these groups had very healthy musical careers. I disagree with the listing.
My favorite is from a group that broke up before their first concert tour: Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy". I haven't read all the web info, but word then was that Limahl, the captivating lead singer, was booted from the group because the leader of the group had a major case of jealousy about Limahl getting the main attention. Supposedly, he charged Christopher Hamill with changing his vision of the group.
I had planned to go to a concert, then MTV announced the separation. It was said that so many fans no longer were interested in seeing them if Limahl no longer fronted the group. That was my reason for cancelling plans.
I still love the video, and I love the song.

BQ: i'm no longer istening to some thing perfect now, yet i grew to become listening to MJ this morning.
