People should only be able to voice such opinions when they are founded upon fact, not conjecture. I'm sorry, I do not know about this case so maybe you are working with facts, I am just making a point.

Until evidence is produced speculation will be all that's available. Eventually the truth will come out then the tide will turn but until then nobody is allowed to say openly. To be honest if they didn't have such social standing it would be different This country has always been the same people follow like sheep. When Diana was killed conspiracies theories were rife but it was carelessness on the part of the driver for drinking and Diana herself for not wearing a seat belt. But at the time you couldn't express that opinion for fear of being shouted down. Whats changed?

Let those without sin cast the first stone.
Those words are so applicable here. Too many people judge and condemn without knowing all the facts. As a child my family used to regularly holiday at Butlins. They had a baby sitting service where children were left in chalets and one babysitter would do the rounds on many chalets. The parents would all be drunk in the bars. That was considered OK. the McCanns were only a few yards away not out of the area. They returned every 30 Min's to check on the kids. Who knows a waiter at the hotel could of tipped of the abductor to when it was safe to snatch poor Maddie. The point is these poor people were naive perhaps but definitely do not deserve the wrath of all these armchair know alls who are making the hell they are enduring even worse if that is humanly possible. They will have to live with the consequences of their actions to their final breath. there is absolutely no need for them to be punished in a court of law. What purpose would that serve? The only result would be that the twins would have to be separated from the parents that they love. These people are not a threat to society Yes they are victims and should be treated as such. people have a right to air their opinions but to perform a witch hunt which is exactly what they are doing is so wrong. As before "let those without sin cast the first stone"

Expressing an opinion is fine, you can say you don't like the look of them, but accusations of murder and/or manslaughter are not; that's a matter for the courts to decide.
The European Convention on Human Rights allows for freedom of expression. It also recognises that this freedom carries with it responsibilities as well as rights. These responsibilities include "the protection of the reputation or rights of others ". Accusing a person of murder goes against the right to a "a fair and public hearing within a reasonable time by an independent and impartial tribunal established by law" and being "presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law."
I've said this before.

No, I don't think your rights are more important than their rights. If they are innocent, until proven guilty, you are portraying them as cold hearted murderers and fraudsters. No one on this site can really, as an authority, answer the questions we would all love to ask.
This leads to speculation and unncessary hurt.
Your opinion is that the little girl was accidentally killed. But that is your opinion - it isn't necessarily a fact. What if she is still alive or been murdered by someone else?
So no, I don't think your rights are more important than the McCanns. How would you like it if people felt free to seek entertainment out of your tragedy?

it is not. all and sundry is loose to precise their comments, while they even have an opinion, fairly of exclaiming some thing in straight forward terms for the sake of exclaiming some thing. 0.5 the time on right here, all and sundry is mindlessly bashing bands, and while that occurs, they're basically doing it for exciting, no longer by way of fact they have something significant to assert. human beings can criticize bands in the event that they like, however the least they could is a minimum of attempt to do it in a deferential, clever way. and that's exactly that. existence's too short to waste a while bashing persons's comments =] The bashing on right here has long gone previous opinionated and crossed over to rude. now and returned I see an MCR fan submit "MCR" in a question the place this is a superbly logical answer, yet they nonetheless get 10 thumbs-downs. there is been cases the place I see that and supply them a thumbs-united statesjust by way of fact i've got self belief undesirable for them. =P

Every one is entitled to their opinions but when it becomes an obsession, which it has by many in Yahoo now it borders on the ridiculous. How many questions can be asked over and over and twisted to try and make people believe them just for a star. Thousands and thousands of questions here in Yahoo will not solve this case or bring Maddie back.

I agree- this case has been made SO public people are bound to have their own fews of the situation! Someone out there knows what happened to Madeline whether that be the parents or the people that have taken her!! Unfortunately we dont and we can only go on what we believe happened and hopefully one day we will either be proved wrong or right! I just pray to god that Madeline is found alive!! I have always believed she is still alive but slowly my thoughts are beginning to change!!

Of course. Anyone is entitled to their opinion. However, this case has devolved into nothing more than entertainment for emotional cripples, psychotics and social rejects on both sides.
If this slobbering, irrational emotionalism is representative of the current state of British society, it's time to pull the plug and allow the place to sink quietly into the sea.

I completely agree with you. I have a major gripe with the whole situation. Obviously Maddies disappearance is saddening but it is the medias portrayal of the parents which is a disgrace.
Maddie was left alone while on holiday. Had the parent responsible been a lower class single mother the media would have slated her for being irresponsible. But because the person(s) responsible were a middle class couple, the media rallied behind them.
Its a complete farce.

I agree with you.
We are absolutely entitled to our opinions, and shouldn't be shut out because other people disagree. It's completely ludacris for the media or other sources to accept one opinion in full but deny the others.
My thought is that it was an accidental homicide. It's so unfortunate, and I pray that I'm wrong and that by some miracle Maddie is found alive, but all of the facts and evidence really boils it down to only a few possible outcomes, and I think her parents are guilty of commiting unintentional murder.
It's bull that everyone is complaining "your opinion is wrong because there are no facts to back it up" and calling it "hearsay"... there is more than enough evidence. The police would not have named them formal suspects had there not been PLENTY of viable evidence against them, so quit whining.
Of course everything at this point is PURE SPECULATION, but whether it be positive or negative should have no effect on its RIGHT to be spoken. That's what this question was about.
