great old trail / enduro bike... (have a friend that bought one new in '78, still has it in running order)
the factory recommended was 20:1 ... but also remember these bikes came out prior to synthetic oils hitting the market. you could go with a good grade synthetic or semi-synthetic easily at 32:1 as long as you weren't holding it pinned for extended periods of time...

That old 40 will run on much less oil mixture cut back returned or upload somewhat extra gas to the mixture . replace the plugs if the you may circulate up a million warmth selection You went over 50 to a million like in case you had a million gal left interior the tank an positioned 50 to a million an extra 5 gal for 6 your at 40 some thing oil mixture won't run with that an in case you are attempting this a pair of time your truly off on the mixture???I run all mine for yrs on one hundred to1 won't be in a position to stand all the smoke had no problems an plugs final for ever. all the extra moderen eng are one hundred to1. Your call ??
