From Copacabana to Sugar Loaf is not far, should be 10 minutes by cab, depending where in Copa you are.
To the Redeemer it´s better to take a cab to the train station in Cosme Velho and get the old train that goes up the mountain.
Driving up there is a bit tricky cause the charge for parking, entrance etc...
the most reliable taxi service in Rio is
http://www.radio-taxi.com.br/
2209 9292.
The its also in English, there should be phone operators who speak English as well and you can ask for the price in advance.
Have fun.

When I visited, I had the fortune to have a friend of mine meet us - he had lived in Rio for a time.

If you are visiting, it might be best to ask your host or the hotel concierge for assistance. They should be able to help you with a competent, reliable service.

It is a beautiful city and I hope you can enjoy the sites and scenery.

You might also consider riding the boat across the bay to Niteroi, enjoying Copacabana and Ipanema, visiting Maracana stadium and seeing the sambadrome.

Have fun!!

when we went we hired a cab drived who took us to all those places, and the soccor stadium. He was pretty much our tour guide for the day and he charged us about R$160. He waited for us while we went up to the sites. many cab drives will do this. Just ask them.
