I was getting a DP in the breakroom when I turned to look at a live picture of the trade center. Right as I did, I watched in horror as the second plane hit. It didn't seem real. I was working at a cell company, and we later got a referral to turn off the phone of one of the flight attendants that perished when that plane hit the South Tower.

I went to DC a month after the attacks (and saw a smoldering Pentagon - I have pictures too) and have been to NYC like 4 times. I have also been to the site of where the towers once stood, but unfortunately I never got to see them before they fell.

You want Patriotism? Travel the US and experience it. Don't just talk the talk - get out there and SEE the US. You love your country? Go see it!

I skipped work that day and went to my ex's house. Was laying in bed with 105.1fm on, and they broke thru the air and said that the tower has been hit, and for anyone listening to turn on the tv. I went and turned on the tele. I also saw the second plane hit live.
Scary, but really brought everything into perspective that day.

I was glued to CNN for about month. Just couldn't leave the house. Then I got over it.

i replaced into using to the well being center I artwork at and the radio announcer gave information of the 1st airplane hitting the tower, and that i keep in mind questioning it replaced right into a terrible aviation mishap. once I walked into the main significant foyer of the well being center, it replaced into thoroughly empty...and from down the hall, i could desire to hearken to human beings crying. questioning that there replaced right into a 'pink alert' in progression (a well being center disaster code denoting multiple fatalities and chaos) I ran to the radiology branch the place I labored...and it too replaced into empty, and that i could desire to nonetheless hear crying, so I accompanied the sounds of sobs to the reception section the place all and sundry replaced into huddled around the television set and that's once I observed the video clips of the 2d airplane hitting, and the newscaster saying that a third airplane had hit the pentagon, and a fourth had long gone down in a container in Pennsylvania. Having genuinely no theory basically how a strategies reaching this attack replaced into going to be, i will somewhat say that i've got by no potential been so scared in all my existence...or as unhappy. as long as you're Up: even however i'm no longer the single that gave you the TD...your 20/20 hindsight and Monday morning quarterbacking is punctiliously unimpressive...i'm basically sayin...

I had flown to San Diego to see my daughter and her husband who is in the Navy a few days before (9/11). We heard the news of the first tower and since he was military police he had to report to base immediately, by the time we got back we watched as the plane struck the second tower. Needless to say my flight home was very late by about 4 days and very scary !! My daughter and I were stunned with horror !!
Thoughts and prayers for all who lost,,,,,,,!!

I was at home sleeping when the towers in NYC were hit. When I woke up and turned on the TV, it showed a report of the devastation of the twin towers, and for a moment I thought that I was watching a preview for an upcoming movie. But unfortunately, it was all too real.

I was just waking up and getting ready for work. The day was very somber. Like the rest of the world, we were all glued to the TV and internet in disbelief.

Remind me to tell you something else very significant about 9/11 for me. It scared me pretty bad.

I was at home sleeping before my class and a co-worker called me to tell me to turn on the TV. I was mortified at the images that were being broadcast and scared for the people of this country and the people at ground zero at each site.
