How to tackle with the Office politics and an environment which you don't want to work in?

as I am searching for the new place for work and new arrival in my office wants to bring his own person on my position and is creating mental stress to me by over loading my work and creating mess.

He even argued with me and said that I am an egostic and don't want any one to work except my self in this office.

Being a man he tries to dominate me and I never compromised of integrity and dignity of self.

First of all I want to congratulate for your good thoughts that you have mentioned that you never compromise on self dignity. Rani, the problem which you are facing is almost present in majority of offices & other work places. Just relax & think patientely that if you leave the present to have some other job, is there will be full guarantee that you work tension free in the new atmosphere. Try to tackle the whole situation in a cool way. Don't make this big matter actually this is a part of our daily routine. Busy youself in your work & never argue & discuss this openly in your office. Think deeply & see if you have some shortcomings in you too, If you have, then try to get rid of them. Don't loose talk in the office in between you fellows & subordinates. In the past i had been in the private concern for about 10 years & from the very first day i noticed what is going at my work place, I changed myself according to the situation & sucuessfully passed ten years with all types of officers keepin self respect on first position. This problem is minor. Possibility is of some other major problems may arise in future, but don't worry, this is the struggle, you will learn some new. You are administrative manager. Now the question is how you administrate your self in the present situation without leaving the job.

Perhaps your a visionary or an engine, I think this guy knows he's walking in on your turff. BUT, the bigger question is..... why did they put him there.
In my old job I asked for extra hansds on the job, hands on the job. . I learned what that area of the compan needed and ade it happen. Eventutally it became somewhat a department.
When I was hired for the job no body wanted at all the dam job I was a grey zone ( I think you might know what I mean). Surprisingly from time to time they gave me temps or co-ops. (good call on my managers attempt to help me help the company. Eventually others wanted my job and being that I had later had some familly and complicated life issues that made this one butt head who I and made a new postion for discredited me and I assume there were other things I was surely unaware of. SO being that I sence that you are feeling like your not on your game because somehow someone there has made you fell not worthy. I say move your *** elsewhere. Don't wait around for more of this crap. Take a second look at the guy you are being bumped for. Or perhaps have to share your postion for. Once again perhaps you should be thinking "leadership role". Yo know what give it to them. But make sure that you are the one giving it to them and that they are not taling it from you. This is the only good feeling option availab;e to you. PS You know you are good so move it PS perhaps the vp or the ceo would be interested in some good advise (before you go) about that area you know so well, (keep it short and simple) thank them for the time you spent there, and just to through a penny in the well, recommend someone that has helped you and is not at your level. (kick it up a knotch). Stir up the soup it always makes for a god soup. lol

Keep a diary of the behaviour. Tell him this behaviour is not acceptable, don't get into an argument. Stay calm, and stay on top of the job if possible. Find a new job ASAP. Don't stay it'll do your head in.




You do not have any other option for the immediate future. You have to continue with the job by putting up with all problems and pressures for some more time. In the meantime, you can try for an alternate job and quit them. This is the only best way.

This is the problem always when you work under some one and in a private organisation. If continuing with them is inevitable you have to put up. So do as I suggested above and try for another job and quit as early as possible. Best of luck-

I have come across number of such men who later disappeared from their powers ,positions ,places and even from the vary face of the earth . Don't worry . You are a very intelligent ,skilled and sincere administrator. Your ( C ompany ) office may be so small. The world is so big with full of so many companies ,firms ,Industries and Institutions.

If you whole-heartedly request me to pray God for this situation , the man whom you mention here won't be found in your Office (esp in your Company ) [ if he is a really oppressive and dominant type. ]

*The man whom you have mentioned here will be warned by the superior authorities.

* He may get transfered from near you .

* You may get better position in your own company or (by God's will ) in some other very better company .

* You will just come up and you will never go down.
