First you would multiply 80 cm times 70 cm, to get the area. (For a rectangle, length times width equals area). Since the answer will be in square centimetres, you then have to divide by 100 to get the size in square metres. Then multiply that by $7 to get what the cost would be.

as you buy in sq meters you simply go by the largest side so 80cm then divide by 100 to get cost per cm x by 80 you can do this yourself

ok !
is the plywood can be paid by the m² we need we can calculate like this :
80cm x 70cm = 5600cm², we change this 5600cm² into m² so we have : 0.56m².
If the 1m² -----------------> $7
0.56m²--------------> how much ?
so :
(0.56 m² x $ 7) / 1m² = $ 3.92

80 cm is 0.8 m
70 cm is 0.7 m

The number of square meters is 0.7*0.8 = 0.56 m^2

So -- the cost is 0.56*7

I'll let you do that part.
