Big time Yankee fan here and totally agree with you....Charles Barkley actually hit the nail on the head...."hope he has a hell of a year and then tells the Yankee fans to "stick it" and then go to the Red Sox"....never have like the way he has been treated......Bonds went thru similar times and eventually worked out of it.....but New Yorkers are really hard on everyone that has ever come thru Yankee Stadium....look at Giambi when he first came up.....Reggie at first when he came up!....still they are my Yankees and will stick by them....GO YANKEES! STINKIN RED SOX!!

Granted, he is a great player, and I would like to see him still play for the Yankees. However, if he wants to leave, then let him leave. I will not be sad about it at all. I was a Yankee fan long before A-Rod got here, and I will still continue to be a fan, no matter who is playing 3rd. You have forgotten to mention that A-Rod's agent wants $30 million a year for him. The Yankees have said that they won't give him that much. If he wants to leave because of that, then let him. We don't really need him. We could use $30 million to get pitching, which is what we need. I am not going to lose any sleep if A-Rod decides to leave.

Why do Yankee haters have to group all of the Yankees fans together? I'm a Yankee fan and I haven't pissed and moaned about A-Rod at all. I'm happy he's on the team. I have never said anything bad about him being a Yankee. I think it's time that everybody stops clumping together all the fans of a certain team, thinking that they all think alike. Well, we don't, we all think for ourselves. Not all Yankee fans are complaining about A-Rod.

Hey, be realistic. Arod has had some ups and downs in NY. He'll win his 2nd MVP award for them this year, but he had two years which were clearly below his usual standards, even though they were still very good. And he hasn't delivered in the playoffs yet.
I really don't think he is leaving NY. The Yankees have a $32 million edge in resigning him for an extention because they are still getting money from Texas. If he leaves NY, that Texas contract if voided and someone else has to pay that money to him.
But even if he leaves, the Yankees will do just fine. They can get back to being a "pitching-first" team instead of a sluggers row.

After the Yankees bought swept via the Red Sox, I did not suppose they deserved the correct to enter an over-hyped sequence with the Mets and overwhelm them. But, 2 wins is 2 wins, so we're going to take them. Besides, the sequence wasn't fairly the identical besides, with Beltran, Reyes, and Delgado out of the lineup for the Mets. Regardless, they could were top scoring video games with the fine lineup in baseball (Yankees) in opposition to an k Mets lineup.

What is it October yet? The knock we have against A-Rod is that he disappears in the clutch and postseason. So far this year he has done better in the clutch but we'll see about the playoffs. I am not holding my breath based on his past performance. Despite his prodigious personal numbers, A-Rod is not a team player. Every team he has ever played on was better before he got there, and improved after he left. The Yankees will be no different.

As a Yankee fan, I am neither arrogant or going to drown in no tears. You can't classify all Yankee fans in the same category. All teams have arrogant fans. Tiger fans, say, oh the Yankees suck. That coming from fans of a team who had it's first winning season in years & Boston fans who yes did beat the Yankees in 2004 & won World Series, they act like, wow, we won a World Series, our first in 86 years, now we are a DYNASTY, NOT!!!!!!!!!!. I don't think A-Rod will be leaving the Yankees & even if he does, the Yankees will do just fine, as always.

As well as you think you know Yankee fans you couldn't be more wrong. A-Rod was suppose to be the player that put this team over the top. He has performed well in the reg. season, but Yanks don't need help getting to the playoffs, they need help winning in the playoffs and A-Rod has done nothing to help them in that sense. If he continues his playoff failures this year he will have trouble making it out of town alive, much less, be welcomed back for another season.

NY is a tough place to play. We pay a lot and expect a lot. Some teams pay individuals a lot and get crap from them. Look at the money Meche gets from KC. In NY, they would boo him out of town. See what happens in industry to high paid people who don't perform, they get fired. Don't think he will go to NL as they don't have the DH which can be useful as a player ages or is nursing a minor injury. Red Sox need a third baseman and have $$$$$$.

I hope you are right. Yankee fans in general are arrogant and spoiled. They have had the best player in the game, maybe one day will be judged as the best player ever - and they boo him and act like jerks - and that includes Jeter!
I hope A-Rod moves on as well. He won't - but maybe Colorado where he could have 1000 home runs at the end of his career.
