You must be talking about some subliminal experience when one totally gets sucked in by the blissful slime and mire of perfection, when the whole world is permitted to go to hell for all one cares!!
Yes, indeed, I've sojourned into that Paradise territory and witnessed the flower stem swallowed, Logos appearing, and the curtain of God briefly opened. It was indeed during those moments so aptly captured by Anne Sexton in her famous poem:

When Man Enters Woman
Anne Sexton

When man,
enters woman,
like the surf biting the shore,
again and again,
and the woman opens her mouth with pleasure
and her teeth gleam
like the alphabet,
Logos appears milking a star,
and the man
inside of woman
ties a knot
so that they will
never again be separate
and the woman
climbs into a flower
and swallows its stem
and Logos appears
and unleashes their rivers.

This man,
this woman
with their double hunger,
have tried to reach through
the curtain of God
and briefly they have,
through God
in His perversity
unties the knot.

Thanks for the sweet reminder.

Buddhists call it "satori" a burst of enlightenment. It holds you spellbound, in a single perfect moment. Perhaps I am unusual but I have had lots of these in my life. Maybe one a year? I am sure if you sat down and waited in peace and serenity often enough that one would come to you. Mine have been in different scenarios, sitting up in bed with a book, walking along a street, giving birth to a baby, yes a few times during sex (no, not orgasms its quite separate to the physical), on a beach in the rain.

You're right, nothing compares to the birth of a child, but one other perfect moment in my life was just sitting on the grass beside a lake with my first real love, telling each other the bits of pieces of our childhoods. Twenty years old with stars above us and stars in our eyes for each other.

I was going to say when I got married. I felt loved and safe and secure and excited like I had a chance at a good life. But, I guess I was wrong because my husband didn't feel the same.
