Batista didn't enforce an adequate redistribution of wealth in Cuba. Castro became the Communist revolutionary in response to this, along with Che Gueverra, to "help" the people of Cuba.

It didn't have the desired effect.

Fidel Castro wanted to be the sole dictator in Cuba and did not give others to grab the power from him.
