There has from very early on in the McCann case been the 'dumped the body at sea theory'. But is this credible. Assuming an unweighted body floats like a cork. if I put a cork in the sea just off the Algarve at high tide where will it float to ?

with the currents the way they are at present most likely up the coast of portugal, towards france and out into the atlantic

It's possible. Don't forget, someone else could have dumped the body in the sea, not the McCanns. In fact, it makes more sense that it was someone else.

Normal folk, with a basic understanding of this, would realise that anything unweighted would be clearly visible to all & sundry.

Perhaps the Portugese police should also check with divers - what happens to a weighted body.....?

I hate the thought that the poor girl might not be alive anymore. She hasn't lived a tiny part of her life.
I do however think that its about time the parents were named suspects. Their grief has been far too little over the last 4 months...
