We went to the safari park yesterday, and though we had a good time,it left us feeling let down.
The web site said it was so wonderful, and we expected it to be better than it was.
I guess after visiting places like Longleat in Wiltshire every year,we just had too high expectations.
It was a good day our,but we just felt a tad disappointed.
The gift shop was rubbish, and so expensive.
I usually spend a fortune in gift shops, but came away empty handed.
They just hadnt seemed to have tried.
Sad really,as it has huge potential as a safari park, but i guess with the admission only £11 each per adult, the clue should have been there.
So in conclusion,we enjoyed it,but wont be going back,as it just didnt do what it said on the tin.
The staff with lovely Liverpool accents were all wonderful, helpful and genuinly nice people. :):)

I live quite close to the safari park and have had many pleasant days out there both as a child and as an adult. There used to be tigers but I didn't see any the other week and the baboons were a little tamer.

I do agree, however, that the gift shop is ridiculously overpriced, especially when you've taken small children in to pick their gift, you just know they'll run for the most expensive:)

Does the site have a customer feedback section? This could be a good place for you to place some ideas of how they can improve for the future.

Knowsley safari park use to be great , but since thay started charging by the person than by the car it has gone really rubbish (it use to be a tenner a car ) , the gift shop there has always been rubbish the last time i was there was 5 yrs ago so nothing has changed , i agree with the rest who said Chester zoo would of been better you can spend the whole day there and your not stuck in your car for most of it.

I agree, I prefer to go to Chester Zoo. Although more expensive than Knowsley, it is a full day out, whereas you can see everything at the Safari park in about 1 1/2 hours.

The Gift shop is similar to the one at Chester, but I think at Chester Zoo its a place to browse on your way out, whereas the safari park it is one of the major attractions.

I know Knowsely is involved in breeding programmes etc, and that seems to be the focus of zoo and safari parks now, but unfortunately I have to say that Chester Zoo is better value for money.

I haven't been there since I was a lad. I still can't see the fun in sitting in a queue of cars so I've never been back.
A friend went a few months ago and had his windscreen washer jets eaten by baboons.

Chester Zoo is OK, but you can get closer to the animals and avoid the huge crowds you get in Chester Zoo by going to the Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay (about an hour away from Liverpool by car) and it's a lot cheaper.
