If I were you I wouldn't worry about it. You are of approximately average height for an adult woman--perhaps slightly above. Of course there isn't really such a thing as being too tall or too short--except of course for the (highly unfortunate) fact that people will treat you differently if you are freakishly tall or freakishly short. However you certainly won't turn heads if you're five and a half feet tall (well, hopefully you turn heads, but your height won't be the reason for it...)
Anyway, I know women who are more than six feet tall and women who are less than five feet tall, and I try not to judge 'em by the amount of space the good lord put between the top of their head and the soles of their feet.

No, it is not too tall... even for a freshman, since most girls are fully or almost fully grown by then.
The average height for a woman in the United States is 5'4".
With that, 5'5" or 5'6" is right around average.
To me, anyone between 5'3" - 5'7" is about average.
Over 5'8" is tall.
Over 6'0" is too tall.
Less than 5'3" - 4'11" is short.
Less than 4'11 is too short.
I'm also a university student, and most girls, including freshmen, seem to be right around the 5'5 or 5'6 range.

5-5 is okay its not too tall
5-9 or above can be considered as too tall..
5-0 to 5-2 is too short
above 5-3 to 5-6 is average

Is it solid adequate? confident. Does it look strange? sure. each and every time I see a tall guy with a extremely short woman, i think of he the two has a tiny kit or he has a sick fetish. i'm tall and prefer tall women; by ability of tall women i'm relating females a minimum of five'8. Having self-hatred of your top and courting any tall guy as desperate as you will no longer make you any taller. i'm common.

Too tall? That seems to be pretty average, and a lot of people are far taller. I'm 5'4", and I'm always one of the shortest people around. I have known female students who were 6'5"; now THEY were tall!

NO! I would like to be 55", or 56". I've been 52" For almost a whole year. It's getting on my nerves. So be happy with your height. G.B.

If you weigh around 110 pounds you are perfect.
