Is jealousy the main reason behind their anti-American sentiments.

I am only talking about the anti-American crowd, barring the extremists.

No I'm Australian and I'm not jealous of America at all in fact I admire there hard work and dedication to making it one of the wealthiest countries in the world. The only thing I do not agree with America is the guns theres far too many guns and younger people killing themselves Crime is a problem is a problem everywhere and will always occur that's why we need police and the FBI. And I also think that America celebrities aren't doing enough to save the world of it's problems did you know that they have enough money stop world poverty put together and look what they waste it on. But other than that it is a beautiful country and great opportunties for everyone your kinda like us Australians but we're just a smaller version of your country.

Being born and raised in America I do not know. I do not feel America is superior to other countries and in spite of all of American values; such as diversity, freedom for all, it seems to be nothing but a battleground of hatred. Race, religion, ethnicity, culture, language, belief systems, it all divides us and creates barriers. That is why America has no culture and no unity. The only people portrayed as Americans by the American media are WASPs, Jewish, and African-Americans. Rarely do others get that kind of respect.

What's supposed to be a positive melting pot is nothing more than a hostile ground where people walk on eggshells.

Personally, there's nothing to be jealous of. I wish I had more of a culture rather than deal with separatist immigrants and ignorant nationalists every day.

I do love America as a land and country, but honestly, I identify more with my ethnic background, and have more of a curiosity for other countries and cultures. I'm not into the "4 x 4 All-American Whiter than White" crowd. Nothing against it, that's just not me.

America as all countries has advantages but there is must be problems.
Wealthy? yes and the availability of facilitations and modern technology is the cause of its attraction.
When talk about America ,we talk about many religion and beliefs and also no religion ,and when talk about american people ,i will be sorry for them not jealious .
People went to wars created by their governements.
their governement which want people believe that it is the angel which is responsable for spreading the peace in the earth and the fact who create these wars?and where is this war which solved its cause?
I dream to see a new America , save its money for things may be more useful for humans than making weapons and creating war and i wish ,America don't interfer in politics of other countries and may they can solve their problems alone ,as everytime America interfer ,no good occur.

Why would anybody be jealous of America. It is more like the world is stunned by the stupidity of its leaders and the majority of those sycophantic voters who subscribe to its insane policies. It is sad that Americans think they have freedoms when in fact USA is a police state. Even many third world countries have better quality of life, freedom of expression and technologies which equal or surpass that of USA. (remember not every state desires to nuke the planet). Human rights records in the USA are also less than what one would expect from a so-called 1st world nation. America has reached decadence without even getting near civilisation.

Yes, I believe so. We are looked at as fat, spoiled children. I have been abroad and people have great disdain for Americans. We have a tendency to poke our nose into everyone's business when we can't even take care of our own. We send food around the world when many children in our US are malnourished if not starving. Some leaders really have their priorities mixed up.

Yeah that is about 90% of it.

All you have to do is visit other countries. You find out how backwards they are and how lazy they are. One by one you will realize the reason so many want to come here. On the other hand this laziness adds to an atmosphere of being quaint, much like we see our rural towns (although they are hard workers). To a certain extent being lazy allows one to relax and your first impression is that many of these countries don't have a care in the world.

They hate change and they are not usually willing to accept change. On the other hand America demands changed. Always changing for the better. Most of the countries that you visit are much older than the USA but one thing strikes you is that with all those years they haven't evolved their civilization. Their culture is based on old and what generations of the past did, hence many lack motivation. However there is something to be said about stepping out of society and living a life that lacks motivation and demands.

Complacency is the key to most of these countries (with the latest exception of India and China). This is why they can have a major building destroyed that would kill 4,000 of their citizens and would do nothing. They can't understand why we didn't just ignore it. Us going to war and being so aggressive against terrorism simply shames their lifestyle as they know that is how they should be. Canada is a little bit of an exception to this since they are very much defined and see the specific terrorist as a threat... they more tend to want to get even and why they are in Afghanistan, where we want to clean it all up. Therefore they see us a bullies just pushing our weight around for no reason.

That's probably why we are dying of heart attacks so often. We work hard and play hard, they generally do neither. You find that people who are jealous are the ones that are not willing to put the effort into having what those they are jealous of have. It's very obvious if you travel the world much. One other thing, don't place much emphasis on what they know of the USA. Once you really start to talk to them you find out they don't have the slightest clue and get most of their knowledge out of books and a relative or friend that visited the USA (usually New York City, LOL) for two weeks.

Yes, I do believe that many are, which is why we have some of the terrorism going on. It stems from hatred, jealously and who knows whatelse these people think. They have evil minds that work in evil ways. It is a very scary thing and worries me on a daily basis with the type of work that I do. I worry about everyone's safety.

Coming from a Canadian... no we are not JEALOUS... just fed up. Or disguisted with America. IT seems some of the strongest, violent, intolerable attitudes come from America as much as other places around the world. But America, regarded to be a country developed and accepting of everyone, is now a country of conformity and extreme patriotism....
I'm just saying... coming from a Canadian
