I would and do carry a Springfield Armory XD45 with the 13 round magazine in it. It works absolutely great and I am very confident that I can handle most threats with it.
Since I retired from the police department I don't have that radio to get instant communication with dispatch, I need to hold down the fort until the cavalry arrives.

A Colt .45 auto Government model.
For the ladies I recommend a Ladysmith Smith & Wesson .38 or a Colt lightweight .38.

Nature provided me with all of my self defense weapons - hands, knees, feet, elbows - and these I always carry with me !
My favorite weapon is my heat-seeking kneecap - targeted at a man's most vunerable part - his balls !!

The laws in my state allow me to carry a gun, which I do - a .44 magnum. No one will mess me this lady and live to tell about it!

I'd like to have something that paralysed people as if they were statues so that I could go over and do something mortifying to them before I strolled off, leaving them stuck there like that.

I already keep a tazer gun and two daggers in my vehicle. Can't be too careful now-a-days.
