His disability payments you are not entitled to,
as for benefits, if you have children and you stay
un-married you probably are entitled to have your
military I.D. card which entitles you to PX, Comm-
ssiary, and medical benefits, you need to check
with the Judge Advacote General's Office (JAG)
which is on any military base, as they handle all
legal matters and it is free.
You need to first see if you can reconcile your
marriage and not think about money as you will
probably not get any of his pension, so that means
you will have to support yourself, unless kids are
involved then the only monetary support you will
get is for them. You can seek a lawyer and it will
cost you but it is better to see (JAG) as that is
free legal advise and you can take care of anything
through them that you are entitled to. How do I
know I am a retired soldier of 22yrs and I was in
charge of 125 soldiers at one time and dealt with
many, many marital problems that they had.

God sure. I could most likely marry my husband once more! We had been in combination 13 years and feature been married 11. The most effective factor i could love to difference could be getting married a few wherein else. It was once first-rate within the registry workplace however in this day and age humans are becoming married in relatively beautiful motels and many others and or a minimum of having their reception in a resort and the wedding in church. Would like to have performed that. My husband is first-rate, the high-quality and could do all of it once more if the will arose. Of direction i can not talk for him although!!

Call your local recruiter and schedule an appointment to find out. They can tell you or can direct you questions to someone who can. The military is federal so the state you live in is irrelevant. Personnally, I believe it is 10 years of half of the required 20 years for retirement. Also, you would have to be married to him while he was enlisted.

Your best bet would be to talk to either a civilian lawyer or maybe the bases JAG lawyer, if there is not something on base that can answer the question.

I think its sad that you are thinking about the monetary benefits you can gain from your husbands well earned benefits in the military..... can you perhaps discuss it with him or even contact that Admin section of the military base that he was affiliated with?

16 years
and every day is a new one
as you love each other better
love is important than any thing in marriage
next understanding and trust.....if these 3 things are there
only sufficient to have a honeymoon every day.
