I'm a teen who loves to act but I have this thing where I only want to audition for the things i want to audition for. And see, most of the reasons is because i sort of have a physical disability, lets just say I cant extend my right arm- it's at a certain angle..in life it's not a huge deal because it's not like I'm handicapped I can do things. I've been in a couple of plays before where I had more than a supporting role.. but when it comes to auditioning for plays..like musicals that has dances for instance, i want to- but i feel like I can't..I've been told i'll never know what they'll think of my arm but i just get nervous about it.

And the musical Snow Queen that's going to be holding auditions tomorrow at night but I do not know what to do! my friends and family keep pressuring me to audition for anything I can to get the hang of it but i have all these mixed feelings. Please help? and this is serious so no silly answers please.

You go to that audition! If you get it you get it and if you don't you don't. Dudley Moore wasn't the only one. Gary Burghoff had a severely malformed left hand. Notice on MASH he is always holding something? Paul Stanley of Kiss fame has a malformed ear. The guitar player Les Paul's arm was so badly damaged in a car accident that the doctors had to set it in a fixed position. You go now!

Audition and use your frustration as an emotion in the audition :-) You will never know if your arm matter unless you try. In all likelihood it can be worked around.

Just DO IT! What do you have to lose? Nothing! So go for it! My guess if no one will even notice. How many people every noticed that Dudley Moore had a club foot? I looked for it and I couldn't tell even when a scene barefoot.
