What jolt?many countries have acute shortage of labor, particularly for menial and hazardous jobs.Take Europe,it's getting older and older by the day and can do with a lot of labor.Since,Aliens may take a while to understand laws of the earth, some Americans may even start Slave-Trade again.I for one may like to have a couple of them to work for me if the price/cost is reasonable.

The only aliens I know are iilegal immigrants. I don't think aliens from other 'planets' would even want to come close to our planet, given the gravity of our own issues.
Real life is not Men In Black... Aliens (if they do exist) have typically been giving the Earth a wide berth.

Not much. I doubt people would notice. They're far too interested in Brittany Spears and Lindsay Lohan to pay any attention to an alien.

the earth, neither the universe are theirs. It belongs to God. And, hypothetically speaking, there are no aliens. I always wondered why people always picture them to be more intelligent then man?
We are ,after all, the crown of God's creation, made in His image!
