OIL, and all HYDOCARBONS, are the result of VEGATATION, decomposing under certain conditions. "Under the sand? Under the frozen Artic ice? In the rocks, buried benieth the surface of land? Under the floor of ociens, gulf's, sea's?
Over the course of approx 4 BILLION YEARS, the earths surface features, the forests, the waters, the mountains, the flat lands, etc. have ALL CHANGED !!!! A fact of nature !!!
In the past geological history, covering those BILLIONS of years, great forests grew where today there are deserts, oceans, ice caps, barren mountain highlands. THE EARTH IS NOT A STABLE / STATIC EXISTANCE, AND HAS NEVER BEEN!!! The very make up of the earth prevents a static condition, today or for the fore seeable future.
The decomposition of those forests vegative growth is the base "materals" required for OUR / THEIR/ THAT hydrocarbon / oil, natural gas, coal, etc.
O.K., God created the heavenS and the earth, and he did it "IN 6 DAYS, AND RESTED ON THE 7TH DAY-----"
"DAY" ??? How long is a day in Gods life ?? How could he limit his day to 24 hours, if he created the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars on THE 4TH DAY ???
DID GOD LIMIT HIS DAY TO 24 HOURS, BY WEARING A WRIST WATCH? WAS THAT WRIST WATCH A ROLEX, A TIMEX, OR A SEIKO??? TIME, TO GOD IS NOTHING -NOTHING, AND TO SUSPOSE THAT HIS DAY WAS / IS ONLY 24 EARTH HOURS, IS UNSTUYIED AND AKIN TO PAGENISM!!!
OUR ?? THEIR ??
Also note, there is a US Dept of ENERGY report, August 2005, giving the details of more OIL, in Western Colorado, South Western Wyoming, And Eastern Utah, BY FAR, THAN IS AVAILABLE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ( THEIR SAND AREA)
Too bad, the Liberals will not allow the American oil companies to "GO AFTER " those deposits !!!

So we can witness how far we will go to make lots of money.
There is a movie called 'The Magic Christian' starring Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr. At the very end the millionaire "magic christian" throws money into the smelly Thames river and people are diving into what amounts to a sewer fully dressed to retrieve the "dirty money".

This reminds me of the Sage Francis song, Makeshift Patriot, live version when he asks the crowd, "How did our oil get in their sand?".. its a question we will never know the answer to.. but on the bright side, if it was under our soil, we would be in the same situation as Iraq right now :) So I'm okay with where its at right now.

There is plenty of oil under the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska but Democrats don't want to drill it for some reason.

Additional -- Allah is arabic for "the god" (derived from al ilah). It's ludicrous to say Jesus spoke arabic.

A. It's not 'our' oil. It is under their land, so it is theirs. How would you feel if you dug a hole in your yard, found a VAST fortune in gold, and some middle eastern country claimed it was theirs?
B. God did not put it there. Oil is a byproduct of fossil fuel's breakdown over millions of years, not God.
C. What an incredibly ignorant statement.

If you want to quote from the dubious pages of religious books, how about:- Thow shalt not steal and thow shalt not kill and something about coveting thy neighbours ***(oil)? Oil is under the sand like it is under a thousand other places.

It would be a better question if you would ask the liberals,

"Why can't we drill OUR oil, on OUR land? Instead of forcing us to get the one thing that has advanced humanity more than any other discovery in human history from someone who hates us. Or why we can't make Nuclear power plants so we can have an effective way to stop using oil in such large amounts?"

Oil exists in a lot more places than the desert.

I've heard that we have a lot of oil here in the US in the southwest from DInasoars ? That we just can't get too. Easier to let how many xxxx million young men women die / come back without limbs / other disabilities. Disgusts me.
