I have noticed that some peoples "Q and A's" are made private, how does one do this and why would you want to do this? :)

Accessing Yahoo! Answers privacy preferences (and other Answers profile settings):
To access your Yahoo! Answers profile, click on "My Profile" at top-right in the green bar above. Or you may click on your Display Name - near top-left where you see "Hello YourDisplayName", click on YourDisplayName.
SELECT OR CHANGE PRIVACY SETTINGS:
1.) Access your profile
Home > My Profile
2.) Click on "Edit My Info" near upper center of the page.
Home > Edit My Profile
3.) Scroll Down to "Privacy" and choose your privacy settings.
4.) Scroll to bottom of page and click the "Preview" button.
5.) Review and confirm your selections by clicking the "OK" button, click the "Cancel" button to cancel any changes or click the "Modify" button to go back to editing your profile settings and preferences.

You go to your profile and check out the 'edit my info' thing, click on it and look for options to set your questions and answers privately...
To be honest, I never thought of hiding my questions and answers before, but since I have people who cloned me and my questions and answers, I have to set them to private (3 days ago). By doing this, these people couldn't copy me in any way... ^_^

it is because sometimes the trolls like to pick on one person and complain about their questions so they get alot of violations or maybe even banned. It has happened a few times to lots of different people.

Go to your profile page and click edit info. Then review your info and indicate your preferences in the appropriate boxes.

you go to your profile then press: edit info, then set your changes
to whatever that makes you comfortable
