Try to updating/reinstalling my USB controller drivers. and USB port is part of motherboard, and look for motherboard drivers,wasn't useful

these are checked and didn't solve the problem.1-reinstall winxpsp2 2-reinstall mainboard drivers 3- change the location of inserting my flash memory 4- change flash memory with another one

Win XP SP2 supports USB 2.0. If you have reinstalled XP that does not have SP2, just install SP2.

if you plug in a different device does it work at usb 2.0 or does it still say its 1.0?
