Yes !
I expect social services are already aware.
You can expect swift action from them shortly after the twins are 17

Let's face it - if those children are ever in any danger, someone is going to know about it very quickly because the family will be having their every move followed for weeks, months and possibly years from now on.
An example - if one of the twins is outside playing, and falls over and bumps their head (as two year olds are prone to do) and is later seen out with a plaster on their head - do you not think the press will be jumping all over it and people reporting it to police and social services!?
The McCann twins will probably be the best protected in the world. And thousands of kids that really are being abused, beaten or neglected will go unnoticed, in the same way that the many children that also went missing this year were unnoticed in the media furore surrounding Maddie.

i'm afraid i could no longer abdomen the stuff on the McCann web site. I have been given as far using fact the outlet of Gerry's blog which stated 'the day previous substitute into somewhat quiet although we did meet the British Ambassador..... I felt somewhat unwell then so I exited. I did study the Mark Warner one that ties in with what we already understand. The McCanns pass away the twins on the creche all day and characteristic the ability to take action all night. i'm hoping they're doing this whild they persue their newfound social whirl of action picture star.

Leicestershire social services are not doing their job properly as they should remove the twins especially if the parents are suspected of murdering their sibling. If they were suspected of any foul play in the UK they would have already removed them to the care of another relative or a temporary children's home. The twins should definitely be on the "at risk register" I find it highly inappropriate to leave them with the parents after all that has happened.

The twins are not at risk - as their parents don't look after them at home - a Nanny does. So they should be fine (now) because the stressed out parents (must be stressful being a consultant cardiologist and part time GP and having a Nanny to look after your kids) can now have a babysitter look after their kids when they go out with their 7 Doctor friends and drink 14 bottles of wine..........

Actually it is the children who are put on the at risk list. As a member of the public I have not either the expertise or the legal knowledge to decide this question, however if the Social Services work as usual then I would think no, and anyway at present the twins could not disappear as the press will be camped in the village for the next 5 years. This must be very annoying to the other villagers.

Utter rot, the twins are not at any risk. Yes the parents made a mistake but not one that thousands of parents on holiday have not done before them. They were just very unlucky that their daughter was stolen. Don´t you think that they will suffer for the rest of their lives for this? I do and all this crap is heaping more misery on them. Give them a break. They are only guilty of an error of judgement which they will always regret.

Yes.
Also the children are at emotional risk following a harrowing experience and their 'caring' parents, the ones who left them unsupervised in a strange bedroom while they went out to drink and socialise, may also be psychologically under extreme pressure. This could put the twins at additional risk for a variety of reasons.
However, the McCanns are not Liverpudlian grandmothers with dangerous dogs roaming their backyard, or Catholic priests, so how could the children be at risk?

They shouldn't have had to learn not to leave children unattended, by Madeline's going missing.
That is something 99.999% of parents know. Even uneducated parents know that. Those two were educated and in the medical field, they had to have taken 'how to spot child abuse/neglect' classes along the way.
Their other two children are no safer today than they were the night the parents left them alone and drugged up.
What they did is criminal, and I hope that the twins can be taken and given to a family member that cares more for their well being, and loves them more than partying with friends.

Yes maybe the twins should go into care, until their Mum and Dad are in the clear, as they are old enough to know what is going on and it must efect them. What I can't understand is, why who ever took Maddie did'nt take the twins as well.

Just heard the news which I deciphered as;
They let the McCanns homes now but will prob re-call them... to answer more questions. The police seem very sure they did it. Then they would be leaving the twins here I spect. What would happen to the twins if they were arrested over there now?
