This is the play I'll be performing in, but I have no idea who my character is, and I was wondering where I could find the script for this play, or even for Lady in Yellow. All I know is she's talking about how she lost her virginity.
Thank you in advance!!!!!!

I directed this play a number of years ago in Montana. I used colored girls of all races instead of all black women. I believe that it is the single most influential play I have ever done. It influenced me to really stretch my reach beyond my grasp. I am white and my wife, at that time, was black. We used an almost barren stage and no men. In the film they have men but no speaking roles, I think because it really is all about women and most men are not emotionally strong enuf for the storyline. The film is available from the library and the script from Sam French, each of the women has a very unique story and serious impact. We billed it as "a play about women, for women, by a woman" and sold out every nite. I hope that you enjoy the show and become as involved in it as we did.

i heard of it, but what i think is sad, is that, if these days say we are all as equal as the laws claim, why do non-white people still have to be labled as colored or minority. using those terms in my opinion only say that white peopel are still superior and non-white people are not as good to be said just the race they are. america is so diverse, why do non-whites have to be the minorities which is also saying less than. we could improve if we just realized we are the same human beings just with different beliefs. oh and i would like to read that book though, what a title :)

I have heard of it, but it's not listed on the sites I usually check so unfortunately I don't have a character description.

You can buy the script here:
