Meverick...I love Spaceballs and Mel Brooks. All his movies are great. I dont hate it and was not dissing it either. I actually like it better than Star Wars cause I am not a big Star Wars fan.

Spaceballs is hysterical! I love Star Wars movies, and I will happily watch Spaceballs when it's on TV... why would anyone be bothered by it????

But I Also LOVE The Star Wars Saga...
(Just Look At My Avatar....Darth Maul pretty self-explanatory)
Star Wars Episodes 3 4 5 & 6 are all in my Top 50 Movies
And The Empire Strikes Back is my All Time Favorite film.
But Spaceballs is just not up to the standards of the other two Brooks Movies I mentioned. In fact I find it slighly stupid. But I will admit hacking on Star Wars is crossing the line with me. Least I'm honest about it.

Dear Shane,
Please not this…Mel Brooks is a talented film creator and he would never, with or without any intention, do anything to….you know, bad to STAR WARS. No one could. So get the thought of being mad at him or his movies out.
STAR WARS is a great series…it is history that has influenced more than a generation. Nothing can damage its glory.
At the same time, parody is also a spice in movie world. Take it easy. Try watching other movies of Mel. Specially, LIFE STINKS….

I am a Star Wars fan and I LOVED Spaceballs.
Spaceballs was a spoof of several sci-fi movies but Star Wars took the brunt of it.
It is a tribute to all the successful movies that they spoofed and nothing to get mad at.
