My girlfriend doesn't want to get her drivers liscense, and when i ask her why not, she gives a bunch of reasons about expenses and killing the enviroment. I know she's not that big of a tree hugger so what could be the real reason?
(Her mom doesn't drive either)

Sounds like she may suffer from anxiety?
My nephew didn't get his license until he was 18 or 19.
Sounds like she is not ready.. When she is ready she will get one.. She needs more practice.. Since her mom doesn't drive either, that tells me she fears driving.

She may be afraid to. My daughter is 23 yrs. old and she has had her temps. but she was always making excuses so she wouldn't take the road test. Finally she just said that she was afraid to drive. Which in turn I told her that was okay. I wouldn't want someone on the road who wasn't sure of themselves. Those are the ones that could cause an accident. Maybe one day she will feel comfortable about herself to be able to. But, if she's not, well that's okay too.

tell her that its cool, and driving can releive you from stress (it does for me when i drive fast!!) and that the enviroment is just fine if she's into that global warming crap she's going a little over the edge...push her even if you have to in order for her to get it! my grandmother doesen't have her license and my grandpa's always having to drive her everywhere and if she doesn't get a ride she has to take a bus..it sucks...she doesnt want that to happen to her...
