I think this dude in the latest video who calls himself Osama is more like some lookalike from Comedy Central, who seems to have taken great interest in the Democrats vs Republican battle.
Now you don't need to Einstein to understand this coz - "What does a terrorist have to do with the internal matters of a country, whom they elect, whom they put into the White House, blah blah?

I wonder why does this Osama bin laden only come at the times when the elections are coming in USA. Maybe its because he can make more enemies and most probably because he can help the anti-Islam US candidates to win elections. Bush said that osama helped him with re election.
This fake osama is a big help to the US political parties as it was a help for President Bush in recent elections when he (osama) helped bush to win elections. Bush himself said soon after his re election as a president that osama had been a help for him. (see his speeches soon after his re election as president)
Same will happen this time, these fake osama's will come out till the elections and untill the bush based parties win he wont go and next time he will appear in the elections after these ones.

Good point, and if you think about it most of our politians need to go take lessons from someone at Comedy Central to learn how to act. Who cares what Osama bin Laden thinks anyway!! If we put him with our political mix we would really have a big barrel of pig mess.

For the sake of arguement, assume it is bin ladin. His remarks are calculaated-although they won't have the intended effect--to discredit the Democrats by endorsig them.
Why this is his strategy is obvious. Bush and his cronies have deliberately given al-Qaida a free pass, allowing them refuge in Pakistan. Al-Qaida in genral, and Osama in particular--serve as Bush's "demon"to frighten people with in orderto grab power and justify his agggression in Iraq.
When the Democrats win, the party is over. We will withdraw from Iraq---ad start going after America's real attackers again. In short, when the Democrats win, Osama's life expectancy is going to get real short real fast--he will no longger have the Bush regime to protect him.

One of the "reasons" he attacked New York is because of the United States' role in dividing Palestine, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of Israeli Arabs being forced from their home. Forget Islam. It's really not the problem. The problem is that Osama uses Islam as a platform and he has way more leadership skill than GWB, and people will follow him. Osama is a NIHILIST. He is the type of person who believes things have gotten so bad that the only solution is to trash the "system" and start over. The flaw in his thinking is that it isn't HIS system to trash. And even if you pointed that out to him, he wouldn't care.

Putting my conspiracy theories aside to answer this one in a sane fashion...
Part of the point of terrorism is to foster change in a system you disagree with, or even just to cause chaos. So according to the first part of that, does it seem like having one party in the presidency is more beneficial to the terrorists that Osama represents?
And for the second part of that, how much terror/chaos does it breed for the U.S. to think that al Qaeda is taking an interest in our national politics, and for us to try to second guess who would be the better candidate to fight terrorism, etc.?
Edit. Crabby, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

He cares because it's in his interest that a Demo wins the election. His worst fear is that a Republican like Rudy wins, why? the truth is that a Republican will continue to fight terrorism and go after him, where as a Demo would stop the chase and pull troops out from Iraq. This will give OBL and other terrorists chance to move into the Middle East and establish a new safe haven.

For a number of years, the adversaries of the US have attempted to sway Americans politically, into voting for the party they can more easily manipulate, or to generally disrupt the political process.
You would think that most Americans who read the excerpts of bin Ladens video, must wonder about the link between al Qaeda and the democrats !
Certainly, bin Laden would prefer having the democrats in power. After all, it was under the democrats that al Qaeda was able to grow, unchallenged, while the Clinton White House turned it's head !

Since when do we care about the thoughts of a man we are doing our best to put into a grave?
Osama is dead, in my mind and in my thoughts I want him cold and headless.

Are you seriously saying that it is a conspiracy by the Republicans to GET BUSH REELECTED? First of all he isn't running, secondly that would be stupid on his part since the man in the video doesn't even look like osama.
