I'm going to try out for Softball at my school, and I'm not quite sure how to prepare. I've been on multiple softball teams, but its been a while. I know I'm in good shape, but I don't know if there's anything I can do to work on my hand eye cordination as its been a while since I've hit a ball with a bat. How can I make sure that I'm ready to try out and that I have a chance of making the team? Thanks!

Take a trip to the batting cages and swing at pitches!!!! Most complexes have both fast and slow pitch machines. Work on your hand eye coordination this way. Have a friend or family member hit you fly balls and grounders!!!

definitely go to the batting cages. also work on speed running (most coaches time how fast you run to first base from the batters box). for hand eye coordination: sit on the ground. about 2-3 yards (6-9 feet) away and throw a tennis ball. practice throwing and catching ONLY with your right hand. the same for your left hand. if you want specific details for training and exercises go to my profile and email me. ill email you back information

i might propose understanding with weights 2-thrice a week, with a entire physique habitual. You particularly choose for to comprise exercises which will objective your obliques, abdominals, shoulder section, and hamstrings using fact those are the muscular tissues that seem to get injured lots. this might help save those muscular tissues reliable interior the low season and not get vulnerable using inaction.

o man.i used to hav this problem alot..all i did was buy the smallest woffle balls u can find..and get a broom stick..and hav sumbody soft toss them to u(jus toss them)...u will get better and better..it worked for me..plus the softball is ALOT bigger then those balls so it should look like 'beachball' to u wen u swing the bat..

good luck! hope u make it!
