yes, a usb 2.0 port is over 10 times faster then the speed of the wireless nic so there is no benefit to using the internal pci card, however there is a benefit to using the USB card, it will get better range since the antenna can be place elsewhere in the room farther away from the computer which is grounded and acts as a shield to the radio signal.

You can use either one. I have a lot of USB devices and would rather keep the USB port freed up for them.
If your connection is important and you don't want to run the risk of accidentally unplugging your usb adapter, get an internal card.

USB wifi adapter with extension cable is best. You can position the wifi adapter for maxumum signal reception.

yes they both do the same thing. one uses usb ext. and the other one is pci int. they both should hook up to just about any wifi network around as long as its open or you have access to it..

you can use the usb adapter. i have one works gr8. get one from airlink. they cheaper in price and do the same thing the others do.
