I have this insane phobia of falling buildings. Like, if I'm in an old house and the floor starts to creak... My heart beat changes, my breathing slows, and I feel paralyzed, like I'm about to freeze up or faint! Like I'm about to fall through or something! I'm not a heavy person by any means, but I always feel like it's going to happen. I don't know how to deal with this, and don't know where it came from. Mom thinks it's from September 11th, I was in 5th grade at the time, and came home and saw the footage of the buildings collapsing (Mom wasn't there, or she wouldn't have let me see it). And PLEASE don't answer me with "Sounds crazy to me!" or "I don't know" cuz #1, I've already been called crazy and #2, "I don't know" is NOT a real answer.
Anyway, has anyone else had an experience like this, and if so, how do you fix it? Besides therapy. Nothing against it, but I've already thought of that, and I'm unable to see one at this time.

You're not insane. Therapy would be the best solution. But if you won't go, then try and resolve these feelings yourself. When I have an irrational fear I just try and think through what it is I'm afraid of.

With you, you are afraid that the floor will collapse. If you think about it, this probably won't happen, ever. You'd almost have to be walking through an old dilapidated farm house for this to happen and even then it would be unlikely. Houses and other buildings have codes which they have to adhere to make things like floors safe. Old buildings that have creaky floors were built with even thicker wood than the floors of today. They are just old and wood creaks, even in newer houses. All it means is that one or two of thousands of nails are looser and allow the board to move a tiny bit. As to buildings collapsing, what you saw on 9/11 was caused by an airplane flying into a building. This is an extremely rare event and probably won’t ever happen to you or anyone you know. Building collapse from bombs most of time and that again in very unlikely to ever happen to you .

Just reason out your fear. Sometimes when I know I have to do something that I do have a fear of I just tell myself, "If I was meant to die or get hurt by doing this today then I will anyway". If I am scared to do things it will hurt my life and I don't want to live that way. Eventually if you force yourself to do things that you are frightened of, you will get used to it and stop fearing things.

I am scared of heights, yet I fly airplanes for a living. On my honeymoon I went repelling with my husband. I was very nervous about doing this, and asked to go first because I couldn't stand to watch person after person go over the cliff. I forced myself to do it, and it was very fun and invigorating. I just told myself, "If you die, then you die." Now my fear of heights is very low compared to before.

I hope this helps. Do not let your fears ruin your life.

Interesting. Sometimes individuals are ventriloquists. We are capable to do anything that turns out beautiful interesting, however we will be able to additionally realise how those individuals do it. Angels and demons have extra energy than individuals, however is it so amazing that they are able to additionally do what individuals can do? I consider that the situation is not that sensible beings can act as ventriloquists, however that those targeted sensible beings exist. In Genesis one million:one million, it says that within the commencing God created the heaven and the earth. If we will be able to take delivery of this truth, that a being who we don't see with our eyes however can understand by means of his works is the supply of all lifestyles, then it's not complex to finish that there are different beings that can not be visible, however that have powers that individuals have, and extra. We recognize that serpents or snakes do not need vocal cords, or the type of mind to style phrases. But the scriptures can provide an explanation for the serpent who spoke in Genesis bankruptcy three, correct right here: (Revelation 12:.nine) So down the first-rate dragon used to be hurled, the customary serpent, the only known as Devil and Satan, who's deceptive the complete inhabited earth; he used to be hurled right down to the earth, and his angels have been hurled down with him. This "customary serpent" is any one that we have to recognize approximately from the commencing, so consequently the account in Genesis shows who he's despite the fact that now not immediately. He is an enemy and a liar, slandering approximately God by means of immediately contradicting him - " You definitely is not going to die." Even now, individuals feel that once they die they don't relatively die, however are nonetheless alive in a few style. If we research God's phrase, we will be able to understand how to shield ourselves from this liar and enemy. .

Well, you could start studying architecture, physics, and engineering. You'll understand support, statics, strain, force, and pressure. There's a lot of testing and evaluation that happens before building a structure and during the construction.

I watch the psychic Sylvia Brown on the "Montel show' and she always tells people who ask about their own phobias its because they had a bad experience in their past life....(example:) One lady had a phobia of bridges and Sylvia told her it was because in medevil times she was going across a bridge in a horse pulled cart and the horse got spooked and her and her cart got thrown off the bridge and she was killed.....another man said he always has a persistant pain in his right shoulder and the doctors cant find a reason why...sylvia told him it was because he was shot in the shoulder in the civil war.........maybe you fell thru a roof or floor and died in a past life.......you just never know.........

If you believe this is related to 9/11 - I'd seek help.. NOT in a 'nasty' way, I mean seriously - it sounds as if the events of that day affected you more than you (or others around you) may realise.
