Bush's position hasn't changed. He says he will keep troops in Iraq until the govt is stabilized. We will be in Iraq for at least 10 years (we're still in Germany and Japan 60 years after the end of WW2). But hopefully in a year or two we'll be able to pull back to supportive roles.

i do no longer understand, yet you think of it may be using fact the final is there every day and gets every day comments approximately what is going on there? i'm no longer too particular, yet i substitute into under the concept that first hand adventure and information of what is going on in Iraq could upload somewhat credibility. further, Petraeus has in no way lied to Bush, you, or me before. So i might have self assurance him before i might have self assurance any democrat in our government. all of them have admitted they have lied to us. hey Jamie S, that's been the democrats in Congress who've been pushing for prompt withdrawl from Iraq. while the media asks a republican, they simply re-iterate what substitute into agreed upon by ALL of Congress some 5 months in the past. So in case you fairly look at what has been occurring over the previous few days, you spot that the democrats have long gone returned on their notice yet all over returned, arranged to brush aside the final's checklist, and blame Bush for writing the checklist. Diane Fienstein even stated so over the weekend. So returned, who might you have self assurance extra?

Bush already elegraphed his next move. He's going to claim that there will be a "drawdown" of American forces to try to forstall a complete breaking of Republican ranks in Congress that will override a veto of a timetable for withdrawal.

Of course, he's promised to reduce thetroop levels in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, andnow. . . .

Amazingly enough, somepeople continue to believe him!

Pop open a bottle of champagne. He will love watching you communists dance around telling the American people that progress in Iraq is bad for the "demon"cratic party and the '08 election.

Wipe his a.s.s with it, the same as he's doing with the ballot papers from the people who voted for him. The man's a joke of a president with not-funny policies. People are getting killed needlessly, he needs to sort it out.

The exact same crap he's been doing.

He plans on dumping the whole mess in the next president's lap and walking away....

Edit-I just love that idiot below who thinks the alcoholic oughta crack open a bottle of champagne while American kids are dying in the desert.
