My bf's having his 22nd birthday and I forgot to give him a birthday present!
I'm planning to give him something special here, something that would remind him that I'm still his gal... tee-hee!!
And so, I want to give him a Pink Lady and Mastomatic. Is it a good idea? I want to ensure that while I'm away or not on the mood, he still has his own "toy" to play by himself and not with the other woman....
What do you think then? If Pink Lady and Mastomatic are not such good toys, what else would you recommend here?

Seriously, unless you guys have a relatively *ahem* dry relationship, or do the long distance thing, well, he doesn't really need a 'toy.' See, us fellas already come equipped. (Hmm... could this be the origin of the phrase 'playing with yourself'?)
I am of the opinion (as are most of my bros) that time you cannot spend with your honey is time you can spend doing goofy guy stuff that your lady probably isn't into. Video games and sports are very common nominees for this stuff. Target shooting, golf, team rec-center sports, those are popular too.
I mean, I don't know the ins and outs of your relationship dynamic, so I can't really gauge the appropriateness of said gift, but I think sex toys can be considered 'cute' for ladies, but less often so for men, but again, that all depends on the two of you.
And what's the deal, breaking stereotypes and forgetting his birthday! For shame! (I kid, of course)
What kind of things is he personally into, things that don't necessarily involve you. Sports, hobbies, interests. Maybe he's always wanted to golf, but sucks so bad, he's too embarrassed with a beginner's swing to hit the course? Get him a few hours of instruction, so he can take up the hobby himself, sans embarrassment. Get him a six month Kung Fu class. If he likes handy-man stuff, or enjoys do-it-yourself projects, you could get him some awesome tools, or a workshop bench, something like that.
Of course, I could be way off. Like I said, I don't know the two of you, nor have I observed your relationship dynamic, but that's my 2 cents. Men usually appreciate something with practical value over 'fluff' gifts. For a man, a sex toy can fall into gag-gift territory, without you meaning it too. Really, it's your call. Good luck.
