i stubbornly told my friend what i am going to do for my science project, it's easy, but it involves a lot of chemistry which will guarantee an A grade... I want to do my science project on the topic, but my friend wants to steal the topic, and i don't want to act like a jerk by telling the teacher that... what should i do? i already researched so much for my science project and i don't want it to all go to a waste, because two people can't do the same science project since it's not allowed

I know a lot of people won't like this answer...Give the teacher a heads up. If your friend is not willing to back down then you need to let the teacher know whats going on. And you probably will need a back up plan for a project.

Sarah and Jacquie are right. Take your research to the teacher and tell her what you just told us.

One thing they didn't suggest is to find another friend. Someone who will steal a research project from another person is not acting like a friend.

I would take my research to class and show your teacher that you have already started the project. Explain the her what happened with your friend.

I would do this privately, when your friend isn't present.

Good luck.
