I once heard the same thing when I was young, but not from my own parents though. It is a myth!!! Maybe there trying to scare you into staying a virgin, by having you think that if you get that something your bumps will go away, and they will know what you done. I got that something a long time ago, and still get an ocassional breakout.

Here's another argument for sex education. Let me give you some information your parents are lacking, since you asked.
Acne has nothing to do with virginity or lack thereof. It has all to do with diet and heredity, and mostly heredity. If you have it, try making sure you get enough rest, proper vitamins in your diet and drink lots of water, along with mild daily cleansing and moisturizing with a oil-free moisturizer.
As for virginity, the only way to get pregnant or an STD is through sex, so keep your virginity until you're financially and emotionally responsible enough to care for a life you might bring into the world or to care for your health needs.
this is what your parents should be telling you.

I don't believe that virginity has a single thing to do with having or not having acne. I never heard of this before. To be honest with you, I would think it would be the other way around because a virgin is pure and this purity can be evident in many different ways.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I can't believe anyone would tell this to their 16-year-old daughter. No, it's not true. Acne is a skin condition that has nothing to do with "something" or the lack thereof

lol. And people who have a little acne just messed around a little but didn't go all the way. It's a myth, because there are people with kids that have adult acne.

No. I definitely do not have acne and I am definitely still a virgin. Acne can be caused by numerous things- clogged pores, your diet, stress, bad hygene- but being a virgin is not one of those things.
