Here's a couple of kid-friendly Halloween crafts that I posted on my blog yesterday morning. Both use recycled materials and allow for a great deal of creativity.
The first link is for a Haunted House luminary made from a milk carton, the second is for making a Halloween Trick or treat pail.

Michael's has some cool ideas for Halloween decor. I copied one of their in store displays. Check out the store or website.

Last year I went somewhere and they had a pumpkin they'd made out of dryer vent pipe. They painted it orange of course, then curled it around in a circle and stapled the ends together. I think the stem was silk greenery glued on top. It was really cute.

A bunch of the ones on this page involve polymer clay, but they could be made with other clays... and a lot of the links and ideas wouldn't have to be clay at all, just inspirational:

Have fun!
