It is a good thing to do even if he doesn't believe it is anything major. It is better to be careful since you can't know for sure. Sounds like he is covering all basis to reasure you.

Just wait for the results and don't assume anything is seriously wrong. I have a 5 year old, and believe me, I know how horrible it is to worry. Just remember that no matter what, doctors will help your son in every way they can. If it is something serious, trust your doctor. Chances are it is something that is treatable. It could be nothing serious at all. I know its scary having a small baby. Dont worry. I will pray for you and your baby. I bet everything will be fine!!

It is safer for him to have the MRI than to not get the bump looked at. If the bump is something serious it is easier to detect with an MRI.

better safe then sorry!! the doctore just wants to see what he can do, it can detect if there is any brain damage or anything like that that could be going on in his head... hope everything turns out well i know these are very trying times but try to have faith in the doctor, they want to know whats going on as bad as you do, that is if you have a good doctor

I would be glad he was taking precautions. Don't worry about it until you know the results.
