Is this the bottom of the housing market? If not, when do you think the bottom will be reached (give month/year)?

This is nowhere near the bottom. It'll be on an upswing soon. The Fed will probably lower int. rates just enough to help us out for a while, then hopefully bring them back up a bit. I guess we'll see what the economy will look like after the elections. I'm not too worried about it. They never should have given the home loans to many of the investors. They lowered the standard too much, and now they aren't giving the loans to over qualified people because they're too afraid of the foreclosures.

I think the one in the early 90s lasted several years ,
So , I'd guess this will take several years to roll out too .
Maybe compare the tech recovery from the bubble pop in early 2000 .
That took several years too .

This the bottom ?
No way , has barely started .

You'll know it when you look back afterwards! Just like stock market, no one knows where or when the top or bottom is. The market is influenced by many internal and external factors and they are changing all the time.

You have to define your area/market more closely. Some areas never really fell, other areas got whacked and will take years to recover
