No. I might ask him to wait on the sidewalk while I set my phone on the stoop for him, but...
Sorry. You wanted a why, didn't you? Here goes--the poor guy stuck in the rain might be an ax murderer, a rapist, or any brand of sociopath.
Call me paranoid, but I'd rather not take the chance.

I'd like to be smart and say no, but yes I probably would. I couldn't leave anyone in the rain. It takes a long time to get a tow truck. If he just wanted to come in and kill me he would probably find a way to do it whether I opened the door for him or not.

Oh my gosh...
That creeps me out...
Stop please!
It reminds me of Urban Legend when the dude is pumping gas for a woman in a jeep while its raining.
He trys to get in the car or something, and the woman freaks out and drives off.
All the dude wanted to do is tell her there was someone in her back seat, and the woman dies.
And I would DEFINATELY not let a man in the house!
I would pretend that no one was home...
Thats what I always do when someone pulls in our parking lot and Im home alone or babysitting lol.
Im chicken!
=)

NO! He's a stranger. I would go on the patio to talk to him and let him use my phone. The patio is covered, so he can wait there for help. I would bring him a blanket and some hot tea.

If the man is Vin Diesel, I let him in and we get busy. If its any other guy....I hand him the cordless and tell him to call a cab or a tow truck.....

I'd answer door with a weapon and find out what he wants. I live on a closed road.

No, but I will offer to call someone for him. I don't let any strangers in my house regardless of situation, sex or age. Sadly you can't trust anyone today.

No way. Too dangerous. I would give him an umbrella and let him use my phone but I would not let him inside my house. That's scary.

Sorry, no. Too many creeps out there. I'd hand them my cordless phone for them to make a call though.
