We can only hope!!!!! the Iranians are a few months away from completing there "projects" and they are going launch missiles at Iraq and the US anyways...

PS as a Marine and someone who has worked "closely" with the pentagon I can say they "draw up plans all the time" if they were going to we would not even know about it tell when it happened... and that guy would be snuffed if he somehow knew these "secretes" and was going to tell... I have seen it before!!

Of course that is believable.. why wouldn't they plan to strike Iran, haven't you figured the whole reason we are in Iraq yet?

It gave us strategic placement of our troops. Iran has had Nuke capabilities for ten years now, we always were able to negotiate our way through it. But then right before we invaded Iraq, Iran broke off negotiations...

With our presence in Afghanistan we can intercept anything that comes out of Iran and heads towards the west, our presence in South Korea covers the North of Iran, Israel covers the south and Iraq covers the east.

put two and two together and you know we Will invade Iraq before the next presidential election, OR this administration will provoke the middle east so much and make such a bad situation for us that the next President will have no choice.

As Vice President Cheney said back during the the first Bush's presidency, if we were to take out Saddam we would have a quagmire on our hands. Also the secretary of state at the time said that we invaded Baghdad and removed Saddam from power we would never be able to leave the middle east.

I think this administration would love to bomb Iran. Fortunately for everyone involved there is no money available to do so and I doubt Congress will be writing a check anytime soon. Our government (and just about all governments) is always coming up with these scenarios to defend/attack other countries based on political agendas and/or fears. It depends upon the current partisan climate as to whether they make these plans public or not. It is called spinning the War Games.

The other red herring in this mix though is that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is crazy and although I don't trust Bush I don't for one moment think Ahmadinejad has anyone best interest in heart but himself.

with a brother in the U.S. Navy Seals ive got to say if its true its about frikn time. Iran supplies 95% of the money, weapons, supplies and man power to the biggest Muslim extremist terrorists in the world and with nuclear capabilities there is no such thing as a counter strike.

If a man who seeks nuclear weapons openly admits he wishes for Israel to disappear, and calls the USA the great devil he should be taken out.

Plus Iran is what is making Iraq so difficult. B/c militarily speaking we have been kicking *** and taking names since day one. Its the politics that are failing us. An a weakened Iran will increase the life time of the middle east.

That's what the 32,000 generals at the Pentagon do. They have plans for every scenario for every country on the planet. They never know who our politicians will get PO'd at next. There is nothing new in this story.

Yes

The Pentagon actually has contingency plans for attacking every country that is a potential threat. But I do believe Iran is getting special attention and several people in the government want war with Iran.

There are many plans in place, would they not have to evacuate all our troops and Americans first with all them strikes, well who knows in Vietnam they sprayed agent orange to kill all the leaves from the trees, but guess what they never thought about all our troops below the trees, I quess i just do not know.

Of course I believe it but will it happen???...........I doubt it............If they can do that in Iran (and I'm sure they can,) why haven't they done that in Iraq and ended the war???.......Because it's not what our President wants............They could also have found Bin Laden a long time ago.........With the technology we have we can find an ant in the Gobi so what's the game they're playing on that one????..............It's all a crock!!!!...........CAT

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

You cannot defend your country if you do not have plans in place for every possible scinerio that may play out.
