Yes and no.

If you transfer you driving license to FL, then get the motorcycle license, then everything is in FL and yes it will be good.

But if don't transfer you drivers license, then IL will most likely NOT recognize any other state's motorcycle class.

Driver's licenses are recognized in all 50 states in reciprocity (your state accepts ours and we accept yours -deal). But permits and other pre-license classes are not. The reason is that the state knows about their own santioned classes but not out of state classes. My nephew try to do similar thing with NY and NJ. No good.

Good Luck.

The most important question is where is your permanent residence? That's the state you want. If you now live in Florida, you need to take the test, relinquish your Illinois license and get your Florida auto drivers license as well as the motorcycle one. Many states give you a short grace period, say 30 days, to take the test for the state you have permanent residence in. The state you're registerd to vote in can be considered as permanent residence or having year around mailing address.

Hi All 50 states licenses are valid in any state. But to get a Florida license you willhave to turn in your Illinois one. You cant have a license from more than one state at a time. EVen if one is motocycle and one is car...they will issue you a license with a 'm; endorsement.

Florida will not be able to add the motorcycle endorsement to your Illinois liscence. You must test in Illinois, or if you plan to stay in Fla, turn in your Illinois liscence and get a Fla one.

Former resident of both states.

relies upon on the state/united states. once you're above 18 in Illinois, all you're able to do is pass to the DMV and bypass the written and driving parts of the examination: no enable or trial-era mandatory. once you're under 18 in IL, you will could bypass the state-backed motorbike protection direction before you are able to take the DMV checks.
