what if the earth were flat? what if everyone on the planet looked alike, was the same size, had the same haircolor, etc? what if aliens landed on the earth tomorrow? what if we lived on the sun, the moon or any other planet? what if people only lived to be 20, what would our lives be like?

How about something like, "What if Flavor Flav ran and won the Presidency" how would our world change.
This direction of looking at the problem gives you endless posibilities.
Or, what if the wheel were never invented or what if a child had a right to freely make decisions for himself or herself without being accountable for his or her actions. A few things to think about to get you started.
