Ok, I am really serious about this question. It's what I am truly wondering..

What would happen if about 500-1000 black people when into the most dangerous cities and did like a march to abolish violence in the communities. All stood like 5 people next to one another all the way down like : that instead of two it would be five and then it would basically look like this ::::::::. all the way down. It would be making a point that it's about the war's in our inner city. And we must make a battle line to protect ourselves from all the violence. I know for a fact, :( unfortunately in bigger cities there are more violence and black people in there are more involved, obviously we are all concerned about the wellbeing of our community. Would this be a great way to make a point, it's almost artistic. And everyone in the march would be silent. And then the five people standing in the front would hold a picture of Martin Luther King Jr, with the words of "Is this his dream?"

Yes, it could be possible, and it would be a peaceful way of generating peace and tolerance. It would send a message to those who precipitate violence and hatred, regardless of their race or ethnic background. The only way to end violence is to band together and build safe communities rather than form gangs that destroy. This is essentially what Martin Luther King wanted, not only for his people, but for everyone. Why not be the forerunners of this "battle line", so that other cities and communities will follow suit. Good luck! Try it, and I hope it works. Let us know.

But what then?

We had the Million Man March on Washington DC.

What of it? What came of it? What was changed?

it is a good idea, but it is only the START of a good idea. You must have a second act

I agree with Bobby D. This isn't just about Blacks any more,
It's about the whole human race.. We have to band together, We have to walk together, We have to stay together.
Until this happens, There will be no peace... But, and yes there is a but to this... It only takes one person to get this started...So start it, bring us together..............

There are millions of white, Latino, and Asian people that would participate in this march. Why are you limiting it to blacks only? People are people. This sounds sort of racist to me.
