Is it precum or semen or both that gets you pregnant?

My older brother was trying to tell me that semen itself isn't what gets a girl pregnant, that precum is. From what I remember in Health class in school, semen in general carries sperm. I used to think that just semen got you pregnant, and then some friends told me that precum can too, then my brother is telling me that only precum is what gets you pregnant and that pulling out doesn't matter.. if the precum got in you anyway. To me it doesn't really make sense that only precum can get you pregnant.. if sperm banks have you get off and put your semen in a cup. Can anyone clear this up for me? Anyone that really knows, because I am tired of hearing different stories about this... I want to know exactly whats right and whats not.

Pre-ejaculate IS semen, just a small amount of it.
Semen contains sperm and yes you can get pregnant via pre-ejaculate. That is why the pull out "method" is not birth control

Both can get you pregnant,the pull out method shouldn't be your method of protection.Sperm is what makes you pregnant if it reaches an egg but that dosnt mean that pre-*** cant get you pregnant,It would contain sperm a well so if you dont want to risk pregnancy then i suggest you use some protection.

First of all; how old are you?? and secondly; sperm is sperm. And the term is 'pre-ejaculate'. While it is a bit stronger pre, it can be just as strong normally...
moral is: If you're NOT trying to get pregnant, please use 2, TWO types of birth control... from the beginning (foreplay) all the way to the end of the horrizontal mambo.

Both carry sperm. You can get pregnant from either. If you do not want to get pregnant and avoid most STDs always use a condom. Don't even let it touch you without a condom!!!! Just a note you can still catch herpes and genital warts(HPV) while using a condom, and anything you can catch with your vagina you can catch with your mouth! Be careful.
