Drill holes into the stump and pour some kerosene and/or old oil in them. Do this for a couple of days.

Next you need styrofoam and gasoline. Break up some styrofoam and dissolve it in gas. You want it to have the consistancy of jelly. Pour that on the stump. Light it on fire. If you drilled the holes deep enough and let the kerosene soak in real good it should burn most of it away.

sounds like fun
a tractor is your best bet.
Or if you strip the bark at the stump then drill holes and pour roundup in treat till dead then cut down then grind the stump

if you are set on burning then diesel or kerosene will not flash but burn

as for explosives only makes noise and gets lots of attention

i'd cut down the trees with a chainsaw, then start a fire with the wood from the tree on top of the stump. you'll have to let it dry out first.
