I'm 19, but I am very mature for my age and always have been. I get along with people my age, but I don't really fit in. There is always that separation that I have from the rest of teens. I have a solid understanding of what is right and wrong and it's like I know from experience. I feel like I've lived for hundreds of years. Sometimes I think "oh things like this never happened in my day..." but my "day" is NOW. Is there a psychological reason for my feelings? Is it reincarnation? Or am I just nuts? haha.

You are what they call an old soul. You have had many lives. You are not nuts. Now have another good life.

"Nuts" is certainly not the word i would use how about smart.
I to feel like that. I know and accept it. So I am smarter and more mature then my friends. Its good to have a sense of right and wrong. Cause soon youre be successful and smart and other your age will be no where.
The reason could just come from your heart. You don't realy fit in, it is cause you are different and special and that is a good thing. It would suck to be the same has everyone else. Speacial is unique and unique is good.
Reincarnation? That is a good question. I sorta believe in it. Like maybe if you see flashes of you being in a different lifetime instead of just feeling it could be reincarnation. Cause I for one believe someone from my past is out there living another life and getting another chance.

You are not "nuts". I think that many of your friends feel the same way that you feel. The real "difference" between them and you is that you are open minded and honest. You are able to "vocalize" your thoughts and you are unashamed of what you feel. Most people can not really say or write about their true feelings. It is hard to be honest about these things because there is always that possibility of being labeled as "different" and the fear of being "ostracized" because you are different. All the worse when the truth is that your friends actually feel those same emotions and just do not speak about them.As to any psychological "reason" for your feelings,,,,it is just because you are still "young". You are not the reincarnation of anyone.RELAX and just enjoy the process of your maturity, because this is not a "practice run". This is the "actual real thing" and there are NO "rehearsals",this is the only life that you are ever going to have,,,,,,,,,unless you are reincarnated.

I do believe that it is reincarnation. In my opinion, you have been reincarnated quite a few times so you have probably experienced a lot in passed lives. That could definately explain it. I am the same way. You think about thinks so complex that people in their 30's haven't even thought about. You feel like nobody understands what you are talking about and you know that you are way more mauture in the mind than them but you just don't know why. Trust me, it isn't a bad thing. Hope I could help. Good luck!!

OH !! poor guy !! hey !! I think its good how mature you are !! It actually helps you !! and If you feel like you do not really fit then get older friends !!! and hang out with older people !!
Everybody has different ways to think, yours is a really special one. and about "oh things like this never happened in my day..." I have thought that before ... and I was wondering the exact same thing !!!! now I know that its not that things never happened, its just that not to me or around me.
lol !! I know it was not a psychological reason !! but I REALLY think we have some things in common

Rich, you're not "nuts"...you're very insightful and mature.
I believe from what you have written that you're an "old soul", one that has been reborn many times. You're very fortunate in that you have all these previous life experiences from which to draw. So your supposition that you are experiencing rebirth (reincarnation) just might be the reason.
I'd like to add that I neither believe nor disbelieve in reincarnation, but I certainly think it's a possibility, and in your case, it appears to be so.

You sound a lot like my oldest daughter... I don't think its reincarnation (I don't believe in it anyway) but I think you are just a very mature boy who understands and accepts his feelings more than his peers.. and no you are not nuts..lol... just a very acute young man...who knows what he wants in life...
BTW.. my daughter is going to University .. she knew from an early age she wanted to be in the sciences...nobody could change her mind and now that is just what she is doing, and she always stood out in a crowd for being different.. she never quite fell in with the in crowd and often asked me what you are asking now..
Don't worry.. be yourself and be happy...

I've heard of folks having 'old souls' meaning, they've been this way before. Typically applied with folks whose wisdom exceeds their age and/or can see the 'big' picture as if they've seen it before and just wait for the rest of the population to catch up.

If this describes what you're experiencing - just give in because it's way bigger than you!

If ignorance is bliss you know what knowledge is!
It's the old double edge sword.
You are an eagle(hooray!)
Among a flock of chickens(boo !)
Water seeks it's own level.
Find yours.
It will drive you nuts.Make you crazy and old before your time.
There are others out there like you .Find them
And for God's sake, don't become egotistical!
Nothing ruins a good gift more than that feeling that you deserve it.
if you deserve it,it's a wage not a gift.
(You're bright.You'll figure it out!)

Its the curse of having a high IQ. You see things a little differently than everyone else. Maybe question things others accept.

Its normal, just find some people to hang out with that aren't too geeky but meet your intellectual needs.

Or, start dating an older person .... thats a quick cure.
