Yes I am:
I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that someone's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light?
Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that something's watching you
Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no one's there?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure there's someone there
Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that someone's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
When I'm walking a dark road
I am a man who walks alone

If there were two rooms full of black widows--one with the lights on, and one dark--I would be more afraid of being in the dark room. But it wouldn't be the darkness that I was afraid of.

I wouldn't say I'm actually afraid of the dark. I'm more afraid of what could be there, lurking in the darkness.

Let's just say I'm aware of the dark. I do know that a flashlight is no friend; a person has to adjust to seeing in the dark without the artificial light.

Yep, and not afraid to admit that at age 47 I still sleep with a night light on. Now I've added the sound machine to drown out noises that scare me. I can only imagine what is next!!!!

If I hear scary noises, yes. But most of the time, no. I like the dark more than light, just because it's relaxing (and more romantic should you be with a special someone).

I go into my room and shut out all the lights, the windows are already filed with boards to block out light, I'm afraid of the light because every one can see me there, I'm so vulnerable there. i love the dark, usually nice and quiet.

Only at night: on a dark street, in the middle of the woods, when lost, in the city, huge nearly empty parking lot, at the airport, driving on the interstate, when there are monsters under the bed or in the closet.........Nah, can't you tell?
