i've had it for a while and now when i go to plug it in to the usb port. i go to my computers and select the drive its in. then it says that it has to be formated so i click yes to format it (it had a warning saying if i format it that it will delete all files on my mp3 player) so i went ahead to format it but it says it was unable to complete the format. so now my computer won't recognize it anymore and all my songs have been deleted from my mp3 player.

the mp3 player i have is called: Creative Zen Nano Plus (1GB)

First you want to reset it, it may have froze up on you while trying to format and that will prevent your PC from detecting it =
To reset your zen = Put a pen head in the hole under the power button for 20 seconds.

Do you have the software that came with it? reinstall it..

You may need to download the firmware from here for it, you firmware may have got corrupt or lost when you formatted it. =

God is all-powerful and he can fix it easily, but he won't, because he is non-existent. I can fix it though. Bring it to my place tonight.
