Almost all babies have blue eyes when they are born. You really don't know what color they're going to be until about 6 months. I have brown eyes and my husband has green eyes. Our fist son had blue eyes until he was 3 months old, then they turned green, and now they're hazel. Our youngest son is 13 months old and still has blue eyes. His great-grandmother had blue eyes, so the pediatrician says he may keep his baby blues.
Tell your husband and everyone else not to worry. At 7 days old, that is completely normal.

They Will Likely Change. My Daughter Had Greyish/Blue Eyes Until She Was 7 Months Old. Her Dad And I Both Have Brown. A Friend Of Mine Has A Daughter Who Inherited Her Great Grandpa's Blue Eyes. (The Parents Both Have Brown). If Someone In Urs Or His Family Has Colored Eyes, Then There Is A Slight Chance That They Can Stay Blue, But I Can Almost Assure You That They Will Change.

I was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. My mom, dad and sister all had brown hair and brown eyes. Everyone always teased me that I was adopted, but, when I turned 15 my hair started turning brown. However, I've had the blue eyes all my life. I have heard that most babies are born with blue eyes and they can change within 6mths to whatever color they are going to be. Just because neither one of you have blue eyes does not mean that the baby didnt just inherit the blue eyes from someone else in the family. It is possible to either you or your husband or both of you are carrying the recessive gene for blue eyes and never knew it. If you both were Bb, then the chances of you all having a blue eyed baby would be 25%. Good luck, I hope he comes to his senses sooner rather than later, just keep tryng to convince him that it is his daughter and that he should love her no matter what color her eyes are.

It's all about genetics. If you and/or your husband are caucasion then it is a very strong possibility that your child will be born with blue eyes. This is very normal. After about a year if your child will have brown eyes it will slowly start to change. My husband and I both have brown eyes and both of our children were born with blue eyes. My first child started to change eye color at about 10 months of age. He is now 4, and has brown eyes. My second child started changing eye color at about a year old. He is 2 years old and now has green/hazel eyes. If you search on the web about genetics and eye color it will show you that the majority of caucasion babies are born with blue eyes. Pretty much the only ones that are born with brown eyes are African American and Asian babies, but even then some are born with blue eyes.

I have blue/green eyes and my husband has brown eyes, both my daughter's were born with brown eyes, one was even premature.
My husbands parents both had brown eyes as well so genetics dictates that all our children will have brown eyes, because it's the dominent trait.
However, I did expect both my girls to have blue eyes when they were born, it surprised me when they did not!
Babies eyes will change from blue to something else in the first year, maybe a little later. Hair colour has been known to change too, my husband was blond as blond could be when he was a child, now he's as dark as anything.

My b/f and I both have green/hazel eyes. Our son was born w/ bluish-green eyes. His started slowly getting greener at about 3 or 4 weeks. I've heard before that the eyes aren't their true color until between 4 and 6 months tho. Hope this helps!

They WILL change! My daughter was born with dark greyish/bluish eyes, but my husband and I have brown eyes. I know they'll turn brown. It's normal for babies to come out with eyes like this and change. Actually, they all do unless they stay blue.

Your baby's eyes might change, and they might not.
As for your husband - my husband has brown eyes and I have hazel - our oldest is now 3 and still has blue eyes. It's genetics - we think my grandparents had blue eyes, and his grandparents had blue eyes, and that recessive trait combined to create our oldest's blue eyes.
Our youngest has deep brown eyes, and he was born with them.
I was told that babies eyes will change color - if they're going to change - by 9 mos. And tell your husband to get a grip.

the comparable factor befell to my daughter. She improve into born with brown, and around 2-3 months, her eyes began to lighten and now they seem to be a depressing gray/blue with a sprint eco-friendly. She is eighteen months and that they have got been this comparable shade considering that she improve into 5 months, so i think of this can be the staggering shade.
